Changing Patterns, P.C., Founder
Bonnie Artman is a licensed marriage and family therapist and workshop speaker. She has a deep passion for helping people move beyond negative beliefs that inhibit their growth and potential. She believes that change is possible and is committed to helping individuals, couples, and families live with meaning and purpose.
Her clinical work is recognized for its respect of clients as unique individuals who have strengths and possibilities yet to be realized. As a communicator, Bonnie speaks about patterns of relating and teaches skills that equip individuals with the necessary tools to effectively resolve conflict, manage stress, and achieve life balance.
Whether in the context of marriage, family, or a work relationship, Bonnie has a unique ability to pinpoint subtle yet significant barriers that keep people from getting what they want out of life. She is known for her enthusiastic and compelling presentation style, offering participants poignant insights to make positive changes to improve their lives. Participants often say they leave her workshops having a better understanding of themselves and others to create more harmonious relationships.
Bonnie began her professional career as a registered nurse and soon realized she had a weak stomach! Deciding she really ought to change direction in order to stay employed, she studied psychiatric nursing and eventually systems theory to become a licensed marriage and family therapist. Believing that relationships are the source and context of a meaningful life, Bonnie founded "Marriage Rebuilders," an ongoing educational program designed for couples wanting to learn healthy relational skills to strengthen their marriage.
